I was honoured to have been invited to attend the Style Loft Pop in early November.
This event is at its pioneering stage but has already inspired other pop up events with similar characteristics all over South Africa.
The brain behind this exclusive event is a beautiful lady by the name of Halima, who also owns her own apparel line called Haute Hayah. Her aesthetic is one of elegance, modesty and flair. She is feisty in the best of ways and her vision for the Style Loft is clear: something chic, showcasing exclusivity to unique and beautiful businesses who take pride in what they sell.

This exclusive events takes place at least 4 times a year at the Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton. However, due to its popularity, Halima is looking to branch out to other major cities such as the Mother City (Cape Town,) as well as Durban. At this particular pop up, Halima showcased a new addition: the Sidewalk Market which has become an extension to the event. The Sidewalk Market featured smaller stalls but with the same amount of energy and brand power. Dynamite does indeed come in small packages!

Prior to me attending, I received a huge goodie bag showcasing some of the amazing products from a few of the vendors. Having a look through all my incredible gifts, I realised the immense amount of passion which went into the products being marketed by these fabulous vendors.
The packaging alone made me appreciate the passion these vendors have for their products.

I attended the event on Friday, the 2nd and Saturday the 3rd. I was supposed to attend for 2 hours per day, but truly got carried away and ended up staying for much longer on both days.

What inspired me the most about this Pop up, was that most of the vendors were female owned. It made me so proud to be a woman! Listening to their stories about what inspired their brands and how they believe (with true conviction I would like to add) that their brands will continue to grow truly inspired me! This event could not have come at a better time with it being womens month in South Africa. #meantotbe

If I have to mention every vendor here, I will probably have at least 30 full pages of typing! The video showcases but a few. There are 2 other videos on my Instagram page showcasing a few more of the beautiful pop up stores.
I cannot wait to see how this beautiful event evolves.
